Interactive Whiteboard - What is it and What Can it Do?

by Paul 27. April 2010 01:43

Interactive whiteboards have taken technology to amazing lengths and have brought an interactive way to use a whiteboard through the use of a computer and a projector.

Interactive whiteboards are some of the most innovative, creative and exceptionally well crafted tools for educational purposes.

It would be hard to imagine that schools all around the world wouldn't want to get involved with what interactive whiteboards have made possible.

The way that they function is actually quite simple. Through a computer you can upload anything onto the screen and then the projector will launch the image up onto the interactive whiteboard.

You might be thinking this has already been done. The big difference is that through the whiteboard you will be able to control the computer using a pen, a finger or another device actually making the interactive whiteboard a touchscreen interface.

You can mount the board on a wall much like traditional whiteboards or you can use a floor stand to have it rest on the ground.
